Monkey (猴 / Hóu)
The Monkey is the ninth of all zodiac animals. Monkeys are lighthearted pranksters who consider the world their oyster. Since they like eating peaches, they’ve been associated with longevity. People born in the year of the monkey do things based on interest. If it’s something they don’t quite care for, they’ll function in sloppy fashion. Whereas, if it’s something they’re interested in, they’ll put their heart and soul into it. They live a life full of energy and curiosity. Monkeys value relationships, although spoiling children as a result, counts as a weakness.
